A generous bench along one side lets you sit and soak with the water at shoulder height.

Fits difficult sites

Small footprint plus Maxi Rib construction means Plunge Pools can go inground, semi-inground or fully above-ground on sloping sites.

Compass also builds a small-pool range called Express — freestanding fibreglass pools for above-ground or partial-inground installs. Compare both to find the right fit.

FAQs

Plunge Pools and Small Pools — common questions

How small can a Compass plunge pool go?

The smallest is 2.8m long — small enough to fit into most courtyards, terrace houses and townhouse yards with roughly 4m of clear space. The 3.8m and 5.0m sizes suit standard suburban courtyards. The 6.2m is our largest plunge, still compact enough for tight sites but with real room to move.

Do plunge pools still have all the Compass features?

Yes — every plunge shell has the Ceramic Core construction, HydroPro hydrostatic protection, and the triple warranty. Bi-Luminite colours are available across the range. Vantage self-cleaning is generally not offered on plunges — they're small enough that manual maintenance is fast.

Are plunge pools deep enough to swim in?

The depth is typically 1.1m to 1.3m — deep enough for full immersion, cooling off, and adult use, but not designed for lap swimming. If lap swimming matters, look at the Fastlane range or the smaller X-Trainer sizes.

Are plunge pools significantly cheaper than family pools?

Yes — smaller shell, less excavation, less water, less landscaping. A turn-key plunge install typically starts around $30,000 fully finished. Family-sized Sanctuary or X-Trainer builds usually range from $60,000 to $120,000 depending on shape, colour, options and site.

Can I heat a plunge pool for year-round use?

Yes — plunge pools are ideal for heating because the smaller volume warms faster and holds temperature longer. A heat pump or gas heater will let you use a plunge pool comfortably through Port Macquarie winter. Solar blankets make a big difference to running cost.

Which plunge size is most popular locally?

The 3.8m and 5.0m are our most-installed plunges — 3.8m for courtyard-style builds, 5.0m where the client wants a bit more room to swim and lounge. The 2.8m is a compact-site specialist; the 6.2m is popular in acreage backyards as a poolside secondary pool.
