Retractable in-floor cleaning heads pop up, sweep debris toward the main drain, then retract flush with the pool floor. Set it and forget it.
Vantage builds a network of retractable jet heads directly into the pool floor when the shell is manufactured. On a timed cycle, groups of heads rotate up above the floor surface, blast high-velocity water in a targeted pattern, then retract flush again.
The blasted water carries leaves, dirt, sand and pollen toward the main drain, where the filter takes it out of circulation. The whole system runs off your existing pool pump — no separate motors, no robotic vacuum, no telescopic pole propped against the fence.

Why we quote it as standard on family pools
A pool that cleans itself is a pool that gets used. Manual pool cleaning is not physically hard, but it is a decision every day — did I do it, do I need to now, is the robot in the shed. Vantage removes the decision from the equation.

What it costs to run
Vantage runs on the same pump as your existing filtration. There is no separate motor, no additional plumbing loop, no consumables to replace. Once the pool is installed, ongoing running cost is essentially the same as any other Compass pool.
Head life is typically decades. Compass supplies replacement heads if one ever fails, and they change out from above the floor without draining the pool.

How does Vantage self-cleaning actually work?

Do I still need a pool cleaner or robot vacuum?
For most owners, no. Vantage removes daily debris and keeps circulation even across the whole pool — you don't need a robot, sock cleaner, or manual vacuum for routine maintenance. Some owners keep a manual pole and net for the occasional leaf-off-the-surface job, but that's it.
Does Vantage cost extra to run?
It uses your existing pool pump, so there's no separate motor and no additional electricity draw. Running cost is essentially the same as any other Compass pool. There are no consumables and no replacement filters specific to Vantage.
What happens if a Vantage head fails?
Heads are typically decades of life — we've rarely had to replace one. If one does fail, Compass supplies replacements and they change out from above the floor without needing to drain the pool. It's a 15-minute job.
Which Compass shapes can have Vantage?
Vantage is available on Sanctuary, X-Trainer, Vogue, Contemporary and Combo ranges. It's not available on Plunge, Fastlane, or the Express range — those shells are configured for standard-drain circulation.
Does Vantage reduce chemical usage?
Yes — because water circulates more evenly across the whole pool, chlorine and pH are distributed uniformly rather than pooling in dead zones. Most owners report using noticeably less chemical over a season compared to their previous non-Vantage pool.
